Need help identifying 2 bottles

Dug these two up on my property. The first is a clear, octagonal sided bottle. From my limited research, it looks like a Heinz ketchup bottle, but there's no stamp on the bottom. The only marking on it is a P/C logo on the side at the bottom. That logo is Pacific Coast Glass (again, from my research), but that's as much as I know.

The second bottle is a green glass soda bottle with no markings on the side, but on the bottom it says ROOT with an "X" in the middle. Root Glass Company? But what kind of bottle?

Thanks for any help on what I've got here.:cool:

it be next to impossible to figure out who used the green bottle without a label on it , Root was a major American bottle/glass maker
