Great looking bottle. This is a 28oz. I;m assuming it's 1930's based on the art deco design.
The heavy embossing and orange peel texture on the glass are fantastic. Any one able to tell me more about this bottle?

I did some Googling and it appears to be from Montreal (or possibly Outremont). They show up a couple times in the Quebec archives, though mostly on those documents that are scanned by a computer and poorly converted to plain text which tend to range from difficult to understand to complete gibberish. From the only one I could read I found out that it was owned by "Jo*" [probably Jon] and David Freedman who lived at (but almost certainly didn't operate out of) 847 Rue Davaar. They were out of business by September of 1935, but they had been in business recently enough for the Commission des accidents du travail de Quebec to seize most of their household belongings due to an unspecified incident. Another one lists their address as 1462 Cadieux but is otherwise illegible. Cadieux is now du Bullion and if the numbering hasn't changed that building was probably expropriated and demolished to make way for the Jeanne Mance housing project in the 50s.
