From 1874-1890 there was 5 different Breweries listed in Silver City or possibly the same brewery but with 5 different names through out the years. None of the 5 were named Silver city though? After BEER on your bottle shard it sez &. I wonder what came after the &? LEON.

weren't there lots of Silver mines in that area ? doesn't surprise me there'd be bottles with the word silver on them

Hi Tombstone Brick: I'd think the bottle has to be post-1912 because New Mexico became a state in 1912. The "N.M." embossed on the bottle could mean New Mexico Territory, but I don't think so. I'm going to that area next week, but not to dig....
