I thought this made as good a first post as any.
I am a diver based in scotland and i often find bottles and jars etc on shipwrecks.
I found this one today on a steamer in the clyde sunk in 1904. It looks to me like a sort of ink bottle? Just wondering if anyone else had any ideas?

it look like forme the 1940s .
likely an ink bottle but no real value at this point , although if its an old ship wreck I'm sure there is good stuff there you just have to find it
I was thinking salt & pepper shaker? Leon.
do you have a clear Clorox bottle ? or trying to find out if anyone on here has one ?
I've only seen these in brown glass and those aren't worth much although I have still sold some over the years
Another blow to the forum! any particulars?

Hi Harry, The base certainly looks English from around 1860 but the top seems completely different to the normal English blacks we get here in Australia
