    blue shard - just curious what it is

    Hello everyone,

    Found this blue shard on the beach and can't recognize it. Just curious what it is. Thank you!

    Cool little shard. Like a cobalt glass arrowhead. I don't recognize it. What are the letters? It looks like faltagg?

    Yes, LEON, I'm in NYC. But the shard might be from somewhere else. The embossing says ?altagg or ?altagy. The part of the capital letter looks more like a V. That little dot that makes it look like an f is just a tiny nick

    OK, Was just curious because I know nothing about foreign bottles. Unfortunately not familiar with your shard. LEON.

    Konstantin,
    You have a shard from a cobalt blue ARIZONA tea bottle. They were sold for just a while back in the early 1990s. I actually bought the tea at grocery stores and drank from that type of bottle. Some of the bottles carry the lettering "REGISTERED MAY 5 1992" on the side. The fancy cursive lettering is actually: Ferolito Vultaggio & Sons. I think they were made in rather large quantities for a time, but will be becoming more collectible as time goes on.
