Hello all, it's been too long. I bought this molded pottery jug because it was something I haven't seen before. It has a seam, so it was molded. It is 8 1/2" tall, and cobalt blue. But the base is the interesting part. There is a depression underneath, for what I don't know. There are two slots on the sides, perhaps to hold something in place. Was this used to secret something for smuggling? There are no markings of any kind. There are stilt marks on the base and that is all. Any help would be appreciated!
