I found this in a excavation at California street, on the San Francisco waterfront, 1978. Never could get a positive ID. Any help is appreciated. My first thoughts are ‘Peppersauce bottle. But WHO?

Definitely a sauce bottle.
Very unique design, similar to many of European design.
Telling who may have used it will be next to impossible unless you can locate a labeled example.
