Hi everyone - I'm new to the forum.

I've been trying to find out more about this bottle, although I'll admit I'm not sure of the age for certain but I suspect around the turn of the century.

I thought it would be an easy one to research given the two prominant names, but I haven't been able to find anything on the combination of the names.

I've emailed the Adams MA town historical folks but they weren't able to provide any information.

Does anyone know anything about this bottle or some suggestions on where to look?

Thanks

Thomas Hennessey and Joseph T. Dupont are listed in the 1912 Adams City Directory as wholesale liquor dealers at 80 Summer St. They are not listed in 1910, so this should give you an idea of age. I imagine Prohibition shut them down.

Wow - thank you very much for providing that information. How were you able to find that information online? I had tried to look at the Maxxachusetts Ciry Directories but they weren't online and it was referencing microfiche reels and I wasn't headed to the Boston library or document repository.

Is there an online resource for these?

There is but it is not free. Ancestry.com is a treasure trove of information and well worth the money (for me at least, as I love to research stuff like this). That is where this information came from.

You folks may want to use your local library for info. All I needed was a library card and now able to do some online research for free. HeritageQuest on line has city directories and census reports from just about every city in the country.

Good Luck
