Well I've known for a long time the USA NDNR Coke has a bottle in the background on the main field front and back, I have one and it's a taller slender style dated 1966.
Now I just aquired this Canadian one from a friend, it's dated 1966, he has one dated 1965. They are a tad shorter or stubby style compared to the Canadian ones dated 68-69 that have no bottle in the background.
I believe they were very short lived because in Canada they weren't introduced until late 1965 (earliest) but for sure by Feb 1966 as I have the advertisement that shows this exact stubby NDNR bottle.
Then sometime in 1967 the multi diamond can was introduced and the bottle was dropped from the design, I mention this because the bottles seemed to follow the pattern of the cans.

I may have shown this carton ad before but at that time I never took note that the bottles were slightly different in shape from what I have....I sure know now!..lol

Cool! I've never seen that one. Must not have been around for very long at all if it's that rare. I'll have to take a closer look at the Coke NDNRs I come across, I usually don't pay them much attention.

haven't seen that design before either , have found many NDNR cokes from this period but can't recall one having such a design . would have no idea how common or rare this version is

Well take this into consideration as for sacristy of this new found design, I'm waiting to hear back on month code for my friends 1965....this just in, his is Nov/Dec 1965. The add I've shown is dated Feb. 1966... My stubby is dated Mar/Apr 1966.... he also has a 66 stubby dated May/June so we figure it was probably a one year production run. I'll keep researching to see if any earlier advertising comes up.
My earliest second style is dated Nov/Dec 1966... so both from the same year!... here they are side by side for comparison.
