Hi, My dad was cleaning out an old building on his farm & found several jars. We’ve been able to date many of them back to the early 1900s, but I’m not having any luck on this one. It’s a 8 0z jar that just says Mason in script. It has 1/3, 1/2, 2/3 along the side & The bottom seems to show db along with the number 48. Any information would be appreciated!
That's an odd one, never seen one like that before. I don't think it's very old though unfortunately, the dimpling on the base and the square shape suggests to me that it's from the latter half of the 20th century. 1948 is a possibility as a date but even that seems a bit early to me.
