I recently dug 5 of these soda bottles embossed "Nutmeg" on the shoulder and Coca Cola Bottling Co. New London, CT around the base and appear to be from the 1920s. I would like to know why "Nutmeg" was a Coca Cola Bottling Co. product in the 1920s but appears to be independent in the 1930s-1950s under only Nutmeg Bottling Co. I also know that Coca Cola operated in New London, CT into the 1950s (Did they only use Coca Cola's New London, CT bottling machines in the 1920s?). Am I missing something?
