Dug this jar a while back and I just noticed it was embossed! This aqua jar has Moore faintly embossed on the base backwards. This jar is also is very whittled and has super thin glass. The seam stops and there are bubbles so it is definitely older than 1900. My question is what was in it and why is Moore embossed on the bottom? I also want to know a definite age range. Any info would be much appreciated!

It looks like a shoe or stove polish jar to me, though hard to say for certain. Never heard of Moore as a brand of polish, but there were plenty of brands out there. Odd that the embossing is backwards though.
