I was out digging yesterday with my father he dug this bottle normally we would not get excited over a machine made bottle. But this one is unusually large and shaped very cool looking amber bottle. It is about 14 1/2 inches tall. Unfortunately it is not embossed except a MG on the bottom which is the Maywood Glass Company. I have googled the glass maker to see if I can find the bottle and I can’t . The dump we are digging is 20s to 40s stuff . I would really just like some help trying to figure out what came in it ? Was thinking maybe a decorative wine but have never seen a Amber wine bottle In my life. Thanks for any help . We have nicknamed it the big ass amber bottle lol.

Dang, that is a large one. It's a miracle it survived. Hopefully, someone will know something about it.

It reminds me of this earlier melon shaped whiskey that measures roughly 8 or so inches in height. The only bottle that I can think of that resembles yours.

Sandchip It definitely looks a little like that wish it was that bottle lol. I am thinking whiskey came in it my Dad said it could have been a decorative olive oil as well possibly

I have one just like it, or at least very similar. Dug up on my property and found along with 1930-1950 era bottles. I'm curious too if you find out anything. Will post pics later.

Oops, sorry...looked mine up and its not the same. Slightly similar. Twist on lid, round bottom, and flutes end mid way of bottle. Again, sorry.IMG_20190325_192451_815.jpgIMG_20190325_192429_315.jpg

Hey, don't apologize. It does look like it could be a variation from the same company.

Yep, the bottom of mine is only about 3" across. But same height as standard whiskey bottle.
