Hello, I found this bottle fragment in my creek I hunt artifacts in earlier this fall. The glass is heavy and fairly thick, I believe it is opaque due to the creek as well. The bottle fragment is heavily damaged, but notable damage includes one ruptured air bubble and half of what I believe to be a sizeable pontil scar. I am at a loss of how old the bottle is, or what it may have came from. Any opinions about how old it is or what it came from would be much appreciated. I live east of the mississippi if that helps. Thanks for responding! 010e763db37b539a6826ad4f1b387e98d69ec47854.jpg018f412cabf7986e074f9e9a57634ddfd9970e9630.jpg019bee7ef658a54e60929f212277f111c85872df32.jpg0108cfca50de9695e717a916adeaf3b0e4d283b40a.jpg015ce8266610be759c6d9cb0df80ad89cabbb38d4e.jpg

Thanks and sorry. I was also just using this post as an excuse to make an account on this site. Still amazed at the age. Thanks for the second time.

That's cool, man. Sounds like you have the fever. I caught it 45 years ago and never got over it. Welcome to both sites and we all look forward to seeing what you find next.
