Dug this bottle the other day, It is another bottle dug with a paper label. It is on a non embossed slick and and the bottom has a MM of S in a circle. This Slick still has some of its original paper label left on it. Its a Honey and Almond Lotion and I think its A Ponds. Can Anyone definitely identify this bottle and date from this bad label only. 20190509_090106.jpg20190509_090122.jpg

Why do you think Pond's? I associate Honey and Almond with Hind's, but personally I don't think this is from either one based on what's legible on the label. My best guess is some sort of Hind's competitor.

I just guessed at POND'S trying to find something that would seem to fit the top word on the old label. But neither Hinds nor Pond's ever seemed to use the word lotion on their products. Hinds was the honey and almond king, (altho I don't think Honey and Almond were used in their product) . I think that this bottle was a local imitator of the hinds product. Being a Slick without the label, most of the bottles like mine would have been left in the woods, If it can be identified it would make this one more collectible than the more common Hinds. Sadly my shovel did most of the damage to the delicate and wet label. I raked it down from the top near the root line of the hole I have been digging. I didn't see it until it fell into view. This made two top to bottom sweeping scars threw the label making mostly illegible. By the way I didn't photograph the other side but this bottle has a tombstone shaped recess that is somewhat pointed at the top. Altho it showed no signs of a label the remaining lable could be a back side lable.....
