    is this a lightning rod ball

    ive had this slaggish hobnail glass for about 30 years...I have shown it to some dealers over the years and some said 100% its a lightning rod ball and some said NOT!!!..Im new to this forum so thank you in advance for your help...AndyClick image for larger version.

    That isn't a known pattern in lightning rod balls, so I'd say it's most likely a lamp part.

    Second vote for lamp part. Pretty piece of glass either way.

    Based on the swirled colors, the shape, the hobnail pattern, and the rough ends, I'd estimate this to be from a 1960s table-lamp.

    I got a Hobnail Tivoli Soda Bottle from the 1920's.
