Picked this up today for $3 and have some questions. What is the rarity on this piece in Porter's book? I can't find a Hastings Nebraska bottle anywhere online...

Also, one side seems to be worn a lot more than the other? I was thinking that maybe one side was buried and the worn side wasn't? Maybe water and sediment wore it down? You can see dirt lines by the lip so maybe it was partially buried?

Finally, is there anyway to date this bottle exactly? The manufacturer is Root Glass and the model number is 1EN. Any info is greatly appreciated as always!

Porters book calls that Coke R+ for Rare plus. SO, I assume that means it's a good one. His book doesn't exactly say how to pinpoint ROOT dates on Cokes. LEON.

There is a 2 digit date to the right of ROOT. I can just see the 2 in your picture. Dates on Root 15s go up to 31(!)

Thanks for the good catch! It was really worn down, I believe it to be 20 for 1920 but it could also be a 26? I need a second opinion on this!

Thanks for the help oldcokes! However, this is one thing I noticed about my bottle now that you mention it. I noticed it was full of bubbles! I have a coke 1915 patent from 1926 and it has no bubbles whatsoever. With this said I am now almost certain that it is a 20. What do you think?

I'm not sure if I replied or not.
I just checked my Root Cokes. I have 5 1EN molds all dated from 1925 to 1928. Case closed!

Thank you! Would you mind posting a photo of the 26 on a ROOT bottle for future reference? I can't seem to find any online whatsoever...
