At 11am today, 4 September 2006, Steve Irwin was fatally wounded by a stingray barb to his heart while filming a sequence on Batt Reef off Port Douglas Australia for a new TV series.[/font]


We will miss you Steve Irwin. You were the man!

are you kidding me? you cant show any respect? this forum is 50% ultra liberal. but we can stick to bottles and showing respwct to the dead.

Larry King will have a special tonight,,,He was a man who made millions and put it back into conservation of wildlife. Seems like some respect is due......

well he did hold his baby out in front of a croc, can't deny that. I'll give him this he was as passionate about animals as I am about antiques

the baby thing is extreme, but its something the croc hunters generation wont forget.

R.I.P. Steve Irwin.

Nothing inappropriate in the photo's here, that was his job and passion so nothing wrong with a photo of a croc.
I've never watched his shows so can't comment on them but he did a great job in practical conservation and wildlife managment and was a huge hit in the US apparently.
Sad all around but at least he died doing something he loved.
