Hi,
I am in the process of digging several 1800's privys.I have found several inkwells of
various colors and i need to find a good book or a way to reference them.Anybody know
of a book or a website that will help me?
I will post pics soon as i get my camera software working again. Thanks in advance.

Hi Eddie
Sounds like you have a good digging spot there Eddie. If you can get some pics on and a good description there will most likely be somebody here to help identify your inkwells, this place is probably better than any book, lol[:D].

I just dug up an old ink well, and it is clear in color, 2 & 1/2 "wide 2 & 3/4 ", with the seam stopping at the bottom of the neck. After cleanning, I found what apeares to be the words FORD PA on the bottpm, but it looks like it is inside the glass, I had to read it back wards from the bottom, using an eye loope. Is this a common traight to some bottles? I have never seen this before..
Any thoughts or comments? any idea about Ford PA? (not sure on that letter F yet!!)

Thanx in advance,,,
Kentster !!
