Here are a couple of bottles unearthed in the last twenty years. Going through some of my old finds from my diggin days.

I was wondering if anyone has heard of these or should we document them for whomever is writing the next chapter ....on early American pharmacists.

1880-1900(+?) applied neck, rectangular, 7 1/4 inches high. Lrg embossment on wide side / Ryans Pharmacy /. The bottom has whitall logo W T Co.

How old and has anyone ever heard of it. It was unearthed in a river bank, Poultney River 1976.

Here is another picture of the Ryans standing next to our next subject, A.M. Knowleson / Pharmacist / Troy NY .
Also a W T Co. production.

Any Troy New York enthusiasts out there?

That would be W T Co. Not S T
I told Elias Howe that damn S was too close to the W. Oh well, ...
Here is the last one, a close up of the Troy bottle. They need a good clean but they are great bottles.

Please pass these pictures onto wherever there is a catalogue of Pharmies occurring ..

Thanks,
I don't care about value, that is always a changing thing. I was looking for info on the bottle, perhaps who he was, where was his pharmacy, etc.

A.M. Knowlson must stand for Alex(ander) Knowlson. He's listed in the 1880 census as a druggest 38 years old, wife Mary 36. Alex born in NY parents from England and Scottland. They live in the 3rd Ward of Troy in Reuseler (sp) county Ny.
By 1900 they are at 350 Broadway Street in Troy. Never had any kids born May 1842 married 33 years still listed as a druggest with his wife. There is also a lodger living with them named George McIntyre also a druggest and an Arthur Smith salesman.
