Hello, I have two medicine and one hair bottle that I have not been able to find an age or value on in my books. I'm hoping someone in the forum can help me out. Thanks ahead of time for any help. The bottles are embossed (from left to right) Dr. Harter's LUNG BALM St. Louis, Mo.,... FEELY and CROCKER SYNDICATE HAIR STORE 515 NICOLLET AVE. MINNEAPOLIS, MINN.,...SWAMP CHILL AND FEVER CURE MORRIS.MORTON DRUG CO. FORT SMITH ARK. no base marks on any of the bottles. Thanks, Marvin

Hey, Marvin...

Matt's (GuntherHess) book has a Harter's embossed: "St. Louis & Phila." with label, 5 1/2 inches tall, clear, flat tooled lip... $103

But there is also a "Dr. Hartner's Lung Balm/St. Louis, Mo." , 6 1/2 inches, aqua, tapered lip... $26

He could probably tell you more about your bottles...

All of those are very uncommon bottles.
Last Swamp Chill bottle I saw went for $40 several years ago. Would probably go for maybe $50-60 (or more since cures are in vogue) now.
The Lung Balm might bring $30-40 with no label.
I have no record of the hair bottle and its not listed by Don Fadely either. You should contact him about it.

Thank you gentlemen very much for the information. It has been very helpful. I don't sell my good stuff, but I do like to know what it is worth. Thanks again and happy digging.

Ron, Mine probably fits the $26 description except that I don't think it is that tall. All the bottles are BIM and they are three of my favorites. I will be posting some more medicines that I can not find values on, like my small clear Dr. Dewitts Eclectic Cure (BIM). Thanks so much,
Marvin

Marvin...

Check with Matt on the spellings... He has the $26 one spelled "Hartner" with an "N"... It may be a typo...

Thanks bear, I noticed that myself. I figured it was a typo as well. I may have been in a hurry last night and mispelled it from my bottle? I'll look again.

By the way, do you know anything about my other post with the milk from Gloschester? Hope I spelled that right[8|]

Thanks, Marvin

Thanks anyway bear. I know there are some folks out there somewhere that might know about West Glouscester milk. Nice talking with you.

Thanks for the help Matt. I see you collect Dr Fahrney bottles. I just found my first one a couple weeks ago. It was the tall one (ABM) with the cupped out area around the top and bottom, if you know what I mean. It was a Fahrney & Son's.

Thanks again, Marvin
