I was recently in the Niagara Falls area and stopped at this little antique shop and saw this bottle for $15. It looks to be a 6.5 to 7oz bottle. Had to buy it.
I am guessing it is 1916-1919 because the Coca Cola script is located up high, near the shoulder of the bottle.

If wrong with date then please advise but my biggest question is on the large letter "S" on the base.
Can anyone tell me the meaning of this letter.
Bottle manufacturer?
City Reference?

Couldn't find any information online.

So there are two of those types, H and S... H- Hamilton, S- Southerland. By at least mid 1918 the hobble skirt bottle was out.

Well that was very helpful Canadacan.
I was pretty sure I had a bottle somewhere in the collection from Sutherland. Turns out I have two.
The first is a 7oz Sutherand's Ginger Ale, Sutherland's Beverages Hamilton Canada.

The second is a quart size bottle. #1 embossed on back. I assume that means 1 quart.
Label reads...

Crystal Waters
Sutherland's Limited
Chemists
R'G'D
Has a logo
Hamilton

The bottom has the same large S as Coca Cola bottle I asked about on the weekend.
Of particular interest is that this bottle is for a chemist company.

Now I have to clean them up!

Thanks for the input.
