10 years ago I wouldn't have brought these bottles home. But now I get excited believing these bottles are survivors especially with the labels in such great condition.
Picked up these and a bunch of doubles for about $.80 each.
They are all 26, 28 or 30oz bottles.
I am intrigued by the grocery store private brands.
I had not seen many of the Wishing Well paper label label quarts before.
Pretty happy to add these to the collection.

Great bottles. Finding them with the labels in that condition can be hard.

Yes, great bottles. I love the 70's and 80's stuff. Especially the larger sizes. I just got a 70's Mnt Dew 1 liter.

Yeah they ARE survivors. Can't find those out in the woods, they have to have been inside to look that nice. These are collections of the future so we gotta save 'em now.

No extra Hires. There was a 26oz and a 30oz only.
Most of the doubles were Canada Dry, Wink, C'Plus and a Wishing Well or two.

Bottles in this condition from this era might actually be hard to find. Not too many people were keeping them, and the ones outdoors would have nothing much left on them. The only thing I don't like about this time period is that most bottles went to paper labels rather than being embossed.

there was a fair number of these bottles in the can dump I just dug but none had any labels left , found several no deposit bottles and Canada dry .

I don't imagine many of these labels would survive in the wild , was a seagram's liquor bottle in that dump which still had the label but I don't really collect liquor

agree stuff from the 70's and 80's will get more collectable , at least for a short period in the immediate and near future , partly cause people haven't seen these bottles for a long time and remember them from when they were younger

I think you could still buy those glass bottles here up to the early 90's , I remember them at our local store here and it wasn't built until the 90's so they must of still been around then until they switched to plastic

RCO, I worked for Coca Cola as a sales person in mid 90's. We at that point still sold 750ml product. Most of them were sold to the grocery stores. We sold Coca Cola, Canada Dry, Sprite, Diet Coke up until at least 1997.

There will be few outdoor survivors therefore there are going to be fewer available to collectors.

Not sure what I'm going to do with the extras as I don't have it in me to toss them. But in saying that, I don't have room to store them either.
I may put them online for a buck or two and hope they find a good home.
