I found all these buttons in a 2 foot X 2 foot hole, along with some suspender clips. The buttons are made of porcelain, wood, shell, and copper/tin. Does anyone have any info on the age of the buttons? There are some flat buttons, there were 2 patent 1855 suspender clips, and there were square nails in the hole, so I am assuming these are from the 1800's? I am just starting to collect buttons now, and would appreciate all info. I think there is still lots more in the hole. Hopefully I can pop out a few bottles too!
