I like to browse through online selling sites especially now that we are in self isolation. Kijiji and Facebook Marketplace are my two favourites, mainly because I find Ebay shipping way to expensive.
This week I came across a guy selling parts of his 45 yr long collection. He had a number of ads online. I responded listing a number of bottles I was interested in. I picked them up last night but he had a bunch pulled aside plus a few crates I could rummage through. Social Distancing in effect! I came home with 39 bottles that are all new to my collection and many I had never heard of before. He had a few hundred more I didn't have and I have well over 1000 bottles. I only picked up Ontario Canada bottles but this fella had tons from every province in Canada (tons of BC). A few US bottles but not many. I will post these over the next few weeks. Today I will post 2 of my home town bottles, I think both are quite rare. The Kuntz's Olde Time Stone Ginger Beer in the amber bottle is beautiful. The man int he top hat graphic is great. It makes you happy just looking at the bottle. This bottle is from Waterloo a twin city to Kitchener. The second is a Snider's Bottling Co. I have no idea of age but assume 1930s. Despite looking for bottles from Kitchener for years I had not heard of

Great bottles. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of them that you picked up.

the Kuntz ginger beer is a good find , seen it before and its not an easy one to find

I actually have a sniders bottling co bottle , mine isn't in very good condition , found it at an antique mall several years ago . the books date it from 1926 -1929 . so it didn't last very long but was from Kitchener . I've seen a couple others over the years but not a common bottle

Wow sounds like a great find, too bad I'm not closer because I'd be really curious about what BC stuff he has, pretty hard to find those out this way.

Here are a few more of the bottles I picked up.
Again, these are all Ontario bottles.

I'm pretty familiar with a couple of those embossed bottles but a few others not so much

have one of the Punch dry bottles it was mentioned in another post recently as a collector from Toronto found one in a dump

also have a couple of the Hinds Orillia bottles it also comes in clear , this bottle is older than some of the other hinds bottles but seems to be more common than the 20's - 40's era bottles they used for some reason

seen most of the Niagara falls and Niagara region bottles but don't have any of them

haven't seen the dominion from Hamilton marked H and R , according to book it was a shortform for the 2 owners names which were " Joseph Herskovitz and John Rosenfeld " who owned it in 20's and 30's

don't have the mount forest bottle but seen it before , small town but a long standing bottler in that area

The graphic is light on the Robertson bottle from Mount Forest but it is a great ebossed image. It is two crossed rifles over a rabbit head. I thought it was intriquing.
The H&R on the Dominion bottle was great info, thanks RCO.
