A friend just gave me a bottle Pera Williams Chantel, a pear brandy made in Italy. Any information will be appreciated.

That's really neat I've never seen anything like that before. It's interesting that it's shaped like a light bulb.

It is very cool. The pear actually grows on the tree inside the bottle that is placed around the seed. This has not been opened and I believe it contains pear brandy with the williams pear inside.....very unusual.

This was given to me back in the early 80s as a gift. I'm an electrician so they thought it was appropriate. Although I don't drink brandy, I kept it on display since then.

An ounce of that in a glass of Veuve Clicquot champagne would make a very nice drink.
