Another gift from my neighbor, think he might've done some good, since J-J-J-Jugs seem to be the theme of the day

Yea so I'm reading all these posts about jugs, then outta the blue, neighbor calls to tell me to stop by on way in he's got something for me! Reluctantly, I stopped, but to my surprise, he comes with this old thing!! Said he went into an old abandoned house today, I didn't ask who's or where, but he said first thing he saw was this jug!! So is this thing legit, not a reproduction, someone stuck in the house as a joke??

Stranger things have happened but likely it just got left behind. ..Looks to be in good shape just needs for you to send in an "after" photo/ post cleanup. Give your neighbor a spot on the Xmas card mailing list and a coffee in the meantime. You may have an assistant on a future dig or just a more friendly neighbor. Still, the loan of your chainsaw is another consideration. Congrats on your lucky acquisition.

I agree, probably something someone was using as decor and then didn't want to bother hauling out when they left. These jugs are fairly hard to find intact when digging but there are a lot more out there which were never buried and ended up as people's rustic decorations.
