Anyone recognize this spirits bottle?

Well, at least I'm guessing that's what it is, stands just under 9" and is about 2 3/4 wide on the sides, almost looks like a Log Cabin bottle...lol...shows 4/5th quart on the bottom.

D- is distiller the number 126 is his permit number. The numbers underneath is the date looks like a 48. Meaning 1948. The federal law forbids was in use from 1935 until december 1st 1964.

Ok, the first US patent number issued in 1935 was 94179 and the first number issued in 1936 was 98045. That makes me believe that the design for that bottle was first patented in 1935. That doesn't mean that your bottle was manufactured in '35, I stand with Robby on the manufact'd date of '48. I'm having a hard time seeing clearly the manufacturer's mark on your bottle... Robby? But anyway patent was issued to James S. Steelman, Millville, N.J. on april 30, 1935 for the Whitall Tatum company,N.Y.

I think you found it, note the listing I posted a link to on ebay, the last picture of the bottle laying on it's side is a dead ringer to mine.
