Art Deco Superlative

To me, this is a really special bottle. Just arrived, it’s like new for being nearly 100 years old (made in ‘28), by Three Rivers Glass, something that appeals to many. I just feel very lucky, very good. Put it right onto the top shelf, where it belongs!

What a great bottle. So clean, it looks like it came right off of the glass company assembly line. I love when they look like that. No chips, scratches or sickness haze. Pretty. Top shelf all the way! Thanks for the eye candy.

Very nice! 3 Rivers made some great sodas...their mold makers must have been top notch!

haven't seen that one before , was so many art deco's made during the 20's and 30's , many out there I haven't even see yet .

most from that era clean up well , maybe depends how much they were used or where they were found but not necessary uncommon to find clean art deco's

I don’t think the era matters, unless what you mean is that the older ones got used less. Then again, they’ve been around longer, giving them more time to suffer.

Here is a listing from Worthpoint, showing the bottle with lots of case wear. A bottle in this condition I simply don’t want. It’s wiped out. I absolutely love how clean my copy is.

Very rarely do I buy bottles with issues. Here are three that have more wear and chips than I care for, but they are Indian bottles, a favorite area, and rare, so I bought them, and still like them. They are really placeholders, but there’s a decent chance I‘ll never come across a better one, especially the Big Chief (middle), from 1926, so early that the design patent is still just applied for.

Another ‘proper‘ Art Deco soda, one made in the twenties (could be thirties as well). This one has a design patent date of 1925, and was made in 1928.
