Here are a couple of barbers bottles that Jamie plans to take to the Rome Bottle Show in February. He and I decided to offer them for sale on here first though, in case any of you are interested and won't be able to make the show.
The first bottle is an amethyst, hobnail barbers bottle made from the late 1880's to around 1910. It is bimold. One exactly like it was sold in the 1997 Glassworks Auction, which we still have a copy of if anyone would like to see it. It was listed as rare in this color and sold for over $400.00. The bottle is 7 1/2 inches high, smooth based, perfect with no chips of any kind, and it has the stopper. I can't say for certain that it is the origional stopper that went with the bottle, but it is the one that came with it when I bought it.
A chance to buy a very beautiful barbers bottle. Asking price is $200.00, with an additional $20.00 for insured US Postal Priority Mail shipping.
Let's begin with a full shot of the bottle
