not a metal can but definitely metal , actually found this a couple weeks ago but only managed to recover it the other day . found it on a steep wooden hillside near a park in a town south of where I live . fairly heavy so I just rolled it down the hill towards road and loaded it in the truck .

don't really know much about what it was originally for , Beatty Bros limited was a large Canadian manufacture located in Fergus Ontario .

in cast iron reads patented 1934 but I doubt its actually that old , maybe 40's or 50's era , also a beatty bros tag on the front , not 100 % sure what I was going to do with it

Early electric pressure tank for well water !

that would make sense , a lot of wells around here , although the area where I found it has town water but maybe years ago it didn't or someone left it there at some point . although so heavy not sure how they carried it up the hill

A team of mules! Didn't that area have an old hotel with natural springs that Babe Ruth once stayed at? I used to have a Beatty Bro's laundry cart. Basically for drying your stuff after hand-wringing it I guess.

this hill is in a residential area near a large park , near a river , no hotels nearby that I know of

did find a small dump up the hill though , almost in the back yard of one of the homes , some scrap metal / junk bottles in it , might of came from there

We had a Beatty bros in penetang 1920's-1961( Spencer division) this is the front end off a old penetang stove, found in an abandoned house in moonstone a week before it was demolished last year. This company was once the largest appliance company in the British commonwealth
