I bought these two together. The C.L. Voorhees is from Somerville NJ and appears to be somewhat common. Anyone know if the Belanich Bros / Gehring Beer / 665 Hamilton St. is also from New Jersey? Any info on it?

Thanks to some tireless research from Cyberdigger, the mystery has been solved. Belanich Bros. is a Cleveland, Ohio bottle. I eventually found it in the Ohio Bottle Book mispelled "Belanigh". It lists for $45-60 in the book.

I wouldn't say 'tireless' but I was understandably curious, it could have been a scarce NJ bottle.. lucky for you it's a scarce Ohio bottle.. [8D]

I just bought one of those Voorhees blobs identical to yours a few weeks ago at an antique shop in the poconos. Not sure if its common or not but I only paid around 6 or 7 dollars for it so I figured it wasnt to rare. Cool bottle and I love the embossing.

I have one too, Penn Digger gave it to me.. thanks Tom! [:)] I like good looking private molds more than most slugplates.. mine has a big V on the base..

I wouldn't be too sure the book has it wrong Rob, it could be wrong on the bottle...[;)]

That Voorhees is a local bottle to me in NJ. Dug one once along with at least three hutches. Fairly common around these parts but a great bottle none the less.

I have a few Somerville bottles, but not that one. At first I thought that Voorhees was related to the Voorhees high school in High Bridge Nj.
