Better Beverages

Better Beverages was started in 1936 by a group of investors who, I believe all worked for the Carter Carburetor Corporation here in St. Louis. They are Hugh C. Weed, David G. Teasdale, Ernest H. Neiman and Chas. H. Call.
Not much else I can say, I could not find any advertisements of any kind for Better Beverages. Only being in business for six years, perhaps the beverage did not sell well.
I had heard that Nichol Kola was bottled in St. Louis but never knew who the bottler was or ever had I seen the bottle. Once again, I could find no advertisements for Nichol Kola in local newspapers. But alas I find a bottle that tells me Nichol Kola was bottled by Better Beverages. The labels a bit faded but I am happy to have it.
Pictured are an 8-ounce green glass dated 1942, a 12-ounce clear glass dated 1941, two 24-ounce bottles dated 1940 and finally front and back of the Nichol Kola bottle. I have no date for the Nichol Kola.
Notice how similar the labels are. I am guessing Better Beverage like the Nichol Kola design and used it for their own brand.
