So I saw a Biedenharn Candy Co Vicksburg Stoneware bottle today...? Any info? Repro? I know it's not a "Coke" bottle but could this have been used prior to them bottling coke? I can't find any info on it and I figured someone here could tell me.

I will get some pictures tomorrow, it looked like a ginger beer bottle to me but I couldn't find any info on it due to the overwhelming plethora of info for the coke bottles of course. It had that almost hutch look to it and was green in color.

So maybe it's not stone, do they let the kiddos make these at the museum or something?

Looks like some kids art project. It's funny how a few try to perpetuate the myth of Biedenharn being the first to bottle Coca-Cola. There were at least two Coca-Cola bottlers before Biedenharn, possibly more.

Ahh, I know exactly what it is. They made these for displays. They're made to look like a the original Hutch just freshly dug, but are actually a painted stone-type "bottle".

I believe they sold them at the Vicksburg museum... [&:]

Been to Vicksburg and seen them, or you garnered this information in other ways?

I had bought one thinking it was dug and the guy told me where it came from. [;)]
