Found this jug a while ago but don't really know how to tell how old it is or if it's worth anything or worth keeping in my collection in the condition it is in. There is no makers mark on the jug that i can see. Any help would be grateful.

Keep it in your collection. Great find.

I would say it's more recent for an antique jug. very early 20th century? someone tell me if I'm right or wrong?

Very nice! From my experience I estimated this style of jug to date from the 1910's-1930's. I have seen them in a dump I dig that was capped in 1913 as well as one from a dump I dug that was capped in 1952, though I suspect the jug from the 1952 dump was already old when it was tossed. I'm sure there is a jug expert here that can confirm or refute this date estimate. All I know is that the older jugs, from before 1910, seem to have sported a rounder top to them. Oh, and your jug is worth between $25-$35, people like them for home decor these days.
