Black glass blob top

Can anyone identify this bottle? It's a 3 piece mold blob top, It has an embossed crown emblem. No company name, etc.

Thats not a blob its a double collar I think. The bottle looks like an ale.

This bottle is English and dates from around 1870 and is basically generic ( used by several companies) and would have held wine/stout/ ale etc.
