Yes It's me again[:)] I am just sooo happy to have a place to ask some questions. I hope yall don't get tired of me.Here is another one I can't seem to find any info on,and believe me I have several GOOD books but I still come up stumped. I have heard of black glass and wanted to know if this might be it. Here's what I know....It's definately black, even in sunlight it shows no other color.12 in. in height. partial tin seal at top, can just make out the words "Produce of S..." Base has pontil. no other markings. perfect condition. Very thick glass. Once again ..Thanks Yall. Hope you can help.

That's black glass alright, probably about an 1880s bottle give or take ten years. It looks like a pimple not a pontil mark on the base, blacks of that basic shape are common both pontiled and without, they are nice to dig though and show you are in a good age of tip.
