Black & White cap and bottle

Not sure if this 1940s cap is for this bottle. It's a crown type top. Black and white make whiskey but if its a whiskey bottle why wouldn't it have a cork or twist top. If anybody has some info I'd love to hear it!

Not original to the bottle. REUSABLE caps were for use after the bottle was opened. The original caps were damaged and once damaged didn't really work well to reseal the bottle.

So I've done some research and it seems that this bottle is made by a german company named Ruhrglas as far as its age or what its contents were is a mystery to me any help would be appreciated.
