Very nice. I like how the color is darker / deeper at the base. Is it pontilled?

Yes it is iron pontiled. And yes it is very thick glass on the bottom half accounting for the darker blue color.

which Townsends type is it? I have seen OLD DR. J. TOWNSENDS SARSAPARILLA NEW YORK in that color but not the regular Dr TOWNSENDS.
Rare in any case...
