That Falstaff Beer bottle was produced within my own lifetime. I haven't seen the brand on shelves in WA state for ages, but someone here on the forum is sure to tell you when it was produced if the next photo in your line up pictures its base.

I'm not especially into machine made bottles; and there are members of the forum who are well acquainted with manufacturers' marks and date codes. Therefore, I am hoping one of those members will provide you with the year that your bottle was produced.

Your posting did ignite my curiosity about what might have happened to a product I saw advertised most of my life and might well have consumed (whatever was on sale in those days) in the 1970's. Either the story of Falstaff Brewing is interesting and, like so many stories of American industry, a little sad; or, I am just easily intrigued and grown maudlin.

Anyway, I found the Wiki article on Falstaff an enjoyable, informative and fairly brief read. You might want to check it out.

Coincidentally, Shellbay just posted a couple bottles recovered from Guantanamo Bay that are relevant to our Falstaff discussion.

See her posting titled: Lemp St Louis Bottles

Thankyou so much for taking the time to send us your input . We have been metal detecting together for 5 years and married 38 . We both have had the opportunity to live all over the country including overseas Bottle finds are new to us and we are excited to learn more about the stories and history of each . Our apologies if we come across as clueless because honestly we are . Thank you again for your input

Falstaff became a very popular Beer that expanded nationwide & can probably be found in about every state in the US in the 1970's. LEON.

Those ACL sodas look like they're in pretty good shape, never heard of Lift before. Likely a good spot for them if the labels aren't disintegrating, these days most dumps don't produce intact ACLs anymore, the soil needs to be very well drained.
