I was looking at some of my embossed bottles from the 1920-30s. I never noticed the number on the lip of two bottles i have. Any idea why they were placed there. I have to look more at my others to see if i have more. A lip mold number? Odd because i could not find anything about it in my searches. If you all have any idea please do tell.

That maybe the case because i see no other numbers anywhere else on the bottle. If i find anymore of the same bottles i could see if the number varies. I think you are correct. Thanks for your expertise.
