I dug another catsup bottle today, a Curtice Brotthers from Rochester N.Y., in a ribbed pattern bottle. The blown catsup bottles are interesting in their design as they were made with ribs or with other features that would help with hanging onto them while vigorously shaking them. Most bottle diggers become so familiar with the newer catsup bottles. the machine made variety, that they snub catsup as a collectors catagory. I have about 8 or 9 of these bottles now and would be intersted in seeing others in peoples collections. Love to see some of the graphics on the labled ones or if anyone has managed to save a screw top. Good luck out there!!!

A late 1800s one from Delaware just went unsold due to its reserve on ebay. here is a link.

I've had 3 labeled ones (1900-1920s probably), but sold all three and didn't take pics.

The only food bottles I collect are spice/coffees and olive oils, so catsups are something I know little about. Just thought I post my ignorance. [8D]

it seems like a lot, and a little bit of every kind. i have rather limited space, so i've been going after more expensive ones, but it means waiting longer between bottle additions.

I did move near the Homeland Security building in DC, I bet if I asked them they could find out how many bottles you got. Now all I gotta do is convince them that I have that kind of clearance.

Good luck, even Tom Ridge doesn't know... I have many... maybe 3,000. A nice core-sample-ish display collection of a couple few hunderd, and the rest in boxes for now.
