A damaged Hemingray 103-- one of only two embossed spool-types they made. Circa 1900ish - 1920ish. Source. My first glass insulator of this type.

Bottom and chip. ^ Got it at the bottle club. Was being thrown on the $5 table, but the man lets me buy what I want off of him before he sets them out for others. There was a Canadian and green Star insulator that I wanted, but I let others get first shot as I got what I most wanted from the selection-- and I lost out on the other two. Maybe next time I'll not do that. lol. Nice addition for me in any event.

That's a cool one. I loving insulators more & more but I collect so many other bottles, It's hard to start something else. For various reasons. there is an antique store near my girlfriends cottage that has 2 very similar to this one. Spools are fun! If you get some more, try and find a spool rack to put them in, it really adds to the spools display. I will add, there are more than two embossed Hemingray spools, even from that era.
