Does anybody know anything about the age, origin and value clay pipes in general ? I have this one (Col. Jameson stamped on the stem) and others as well e.g skull, hand holding a vessel, Face of Lord Beaconsfield and one from an army regiment. (These were dug in South Africa.) Thanks

Those white type are called clayolin(sp) I'm pretty sure they started those around the 1850s or so. I have one with an eagle and 13 stars, but there are hundreds of designs.
