Clear Cleo Cola ACL Columbus, Ohio

Hey everyone, I recently got this new ACL and I had a few questions about rarity, etc. It's a 1938 clear Cleo Cola from Columbus, Ohio with Cleo Cola embossed on the shoulder. It's not in perfect condition, has a little paint loss, but it's my first Cleo and I'm happy to finally have one. First of all, is Columbus a rare town for these? Another question I had is how rare are the clear ones compared to the green ones? Most of the Cleo Colas I've seen are green, and I've only seen a couple of clear ones. Nice find. I have one clear acl Cleo in mint condition from IL. Yours is different in that the shoulder is embossed and the glass is textured. It took me 15 or 20 years to find my clear CLEO. I would like to see the base of yours to view the markings if possible. Once again clear Cleo's are a nice find, very desirable.

Hi ACLbottles. Nice bottle. You do see more green glass Cleos than you do clear. Some of the green ones are just as rare as the clear because of the city/state it is from or version of the queen that is found on the bottle. Cleos were put out in a lot of different states. CA, TN, TX, MO, MT, and OH are just a few of the states I can think of off the top of my head that produced ACL queen Cleo bottles. I'm sure many other states made them too. Your version is scarce and desirable due to the clear glass and large embossed "Cleo Cola" on the shoulder. In perfect shape it is over a $100 bottle. In that condition it would be less. Placing an exact value is hard on ACLs with paint flaws. It's a nice bottle and a good find in my opinion []

I have only read that Cleo cola is in five states but I was at a local antique store and saw one from Parkersburg, wv. It was the clear bottle with white and red acl . the label did not have a picture of a woman on it, would this be a desirable bottle? It was in poorfair condition.
