Hey everyone, I know it has been a while and I apologize. I was in an antique store in Alabama yesterday and came across a set of hobbleskirt Coca Cola bottles for $3 each. They are all the Pat. D 105529 and they are all full of soda with the original caps. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the value of them? I ended up buying: Carrollton, GA
Hawkinsville, GAWest Point, GAFrederick, MDDuluth, MNSilver Spring, MD I think I got another 1 or 2 but they are at home and I'm not there now, but the store had some others for $5. They had a New Orleans and Atlanta. Should I go back and get those too? Thanks P.S. What are the ages of these?

Do you know how much each is worth full?

The fact they are full does not necessarily increase their value. In fact, speaking for myself, I prefer bottles that are empty. As for value, the general rule of thumb for D-Patents is ... Big City = Little ValueLittle Town = More Value According to Bill Porter's book, all of the D-Patent bottles you listed are considered somewhat common and probably worth no more than $5.00 each, if that much. But if they are in near-mint condition they are keepers and a good start to approximately 2,000 other variations. [:D]

I called my dad and I also have a Milledgeville, GA and a Sikeston, MO. Any value there? Sikeston is a small town

The D-Patents for those two towns are listed as somewhat common. The 1915s and 1923s are the ones to look for if you are seeking the rarer and more valuable hobbleskirts. By the time the D's came out between about 1938 and 1951 there were jillions of them being made which, along with the size of the town, also effects the rarity/value.

Cokes with no towns are a dime a dozen to me, unless in a rare color or variation. Hey Staticx, not to be nosy, but what area of AL are you currently in? Also if you see anything from FL up there I am interested if you get a hold of something.

2find4me, I travel over to AL every so often around the Dothan area. In the store I was at, I did see a Leesburg, FLA hobbleskirt Pat. D.
