Found under an addition to our house. Rough shape, sadly.

Definitely a cocker spaniel. Any way to get it out without damage to the dog?

Yeah, these usually took a beating as kids tried to get the animal (or object) out of the glass marble. Cool find though, did you dig it?

Ha, missed your comments between the pics.

So the sulphide (sulfide) is pretty delicate compared to the glass and will probably turn to powder before you get it out.

I've got one on my mantle beside a picture of my old dog. not much better condition but fitting nonetheless.

And I would be keeping an eye for more marbles around there

Pity, I was hoping to somehow see the dog better. It can only be seen when wet. I've found several marbles here, but none that old. Nice little memento to go with the pic.
