Nice medicine, already up to $300! It must be because of the abundant and interesting embossing.

Sacramento and pontiled, and with a pretty good provenance of between 1853 and 1860 in the listing. I don't know much about western bottles, but I'm guessing this thing isn't nearly done yet.

Last one that hit the bay went for a bit over $600, and that was a good deal for it. There's only a handful of pontiled Sacramento bottles, and their all good ones.

I actually dug a couple of those back in the halcyon days of digging Old Sacramento. It was long before the tourist trap we know and do not love was developed and it was known as "The West End" or "Skid Row. The only residents were the denizens of the numerous flop houses that have since become candy shops and other purveyors of useless gee-gaws. Even back then those little bottles brought a very respectable $75-100.
