COOPER AND WOOD PORTOBELLO MID 1800'S

Hi I found a bottle bottom on beach on bottom it says "COOPER AND WOOD PORTOBELLO" I know it is from the mid 1800's and is displayed as bottle bottom in museum same as mine but I have no idea if of any value? [] If anyone can help I can email pictures.

Welcome but could you please pick one section and post a photo and/or better description.
With a quick search they have been around since the early 19th century but went well into the 20th.
If it's the latter, you can probably just recycle it. The base marking leans me toward the 20'th but without a better description and some pictures, I can't help.
I'm thinking not historic or pontil though.

As a 'bottle bottom' the value would be minimal IMO... They have been discussed here before.

Hi,
This bottle is indeed from the 1850 -1860 period and would be pontilled. These black glass bottles are very common and were used for Beer or Stout and are only valued at a few dollars.
