Hi all, things sure look different since the pages were blue.
I dug this bottle out of my closet and just can't let go of how
different it is. I never could find a 3-part that had an applied lip. Here are some pics.

Also need some help with this. Any bottle I can find even close to this shape and size were Boot Blacking blob tops. I don't know if the 'IXL
on the bottom means One Extra Large or IXL Fancy Inks.

That's a beauty. Not 100% on this, but may be British? Looks like pickles or some kind of food bottle. IXL of course was a popular brand name for all sorts of things "I Excel".

I know right, it'll drive you crazy why would they put I excel on the bottom? You seem to be a British bottle expert, I was hoping one day I'd find out it's an IXL bitters syrup bottle.

Here in Houston we have several IXL bottles (IXL Sarsaparilla, for example) put out by the Houston Drug Co. We dig a ton of British bottles here in Texas that came through Galveston.

I'm a plumber in Kentucky, when I am talking about digging, it's at work. I have seen some of those IXL Bitters you are talking about, great colors. Never came across any kind of Bitters here. Originally from Louisiana, we used to go to the rodeo in Vivian. Does it still say 'Bobo humps horses' on the over pass on the way back to Shreveport?
